| Design of Golf-Putters
Putters are designed to facilitate smooth hitting of the golf ball in the putting green. The technical advantages of a golf Putter are good glide, smooth stroke, less bounce of the golf ball in topspin, and sweet impacts.
The loft of putters may go up to a maximum of 10 degrees, but not more than that. Grip of the putters have a curved underside and flattop. Among the different types of golf clubs, only putters have a shaft to bend. The shaft is usually attached to the club-head on its edge. Over the years, the design of the Putters kept changing from a forged iron piece to the present designs available in the market. In the early days, the club-head of the putter was too heavy and not designed to perfect the shot. Now the club-head of the putter are designed in L-shape and the flat surface of the clubface make putting easier.
