Although dominated by a couple of professional golf tours there are in fact some twenty professional tours aimed at male golfers. Golf tours are established to ensure that there are enough events for professional golfers to compete at, they will provide guidance with set rules and perhaps most importantly will ensure that there is sponsorship and prize money to bring in professional players. These tour events will normally have a membership, comprising of professional golfers, who can compete at their events, although there are also invites normally handed out for non-members.
