| Golf Courses
The make up of any golf course is normally dependant on its location, and although all courses will have tees, fairways, rough, greens and hazards, there are individual variations that make each course unique. Hazards in particular are well known for their variations. Sand bunkers are a normal hazard but on some golf courses there can be more bunkers than fairway, especially those in desert nations. Many courses will also have water hazards including lakes, rivers and streams, some even have the added hazard of freshwater crocodiles lurking in the water. Links course also have the added hazard of the coastline and the sea causing more than normal shots travelling out of bounds. Even the numbers of holes present is not always consistent, and although eighteen is the norm, many courses have as few as nine.
Many of the world’s leading golfers, including the likes of Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus have turned their hand to designing golf courses around the world.
