| Backstroke in golf swing
Backstroke in golf swing consists of two different movements. These moves are regulated from the waist up. The movement of the lower part of the body could be made by the upper body part, if the golfer is pliable enough. If it is not possible, then move it freely in both the directions.
The position of hands and arms are in the vertical plane and the posture of the shoulders is in an inclined or the horizontal plane. The initiation of the backstroke may be from turning the shoulders, or it may be from the hips, or it may be from the hands. The arms, hands and the shoulders should work unitedly at the same time for the golf club to stay on the panel. The clubhead should be positioned at the lower end of the panel line as the club starts back, till the clubshaft is parallel to plane line and also horizontal to the base. When the club starts upwards, the butt should point at a base extension until it reaches the swing top. If the clubshaft cannot be made parallel, then the butt should be pointed to the bottom of the plane line. The movement of the hips for the full swing stroke is the same. They will turn, then slide and then again turn. This is the procedure followed by majority of golf players.
