ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES OF AUGUSTA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB

Golfers must climb up a set of steps to reach the Crow’s Nest. It provides accommodation for the amateurs during the Masters tournament. Five individuals can live comfortably in the nest. It has a big room with dividers and partitions. The room has three cubicles, having one bed each and one cubicle with two beds. It has a complete bathroom with a sink. The sitting room is a fully furnished one with sofas, chairs, telephone, television and a game table. It has a good collection of books on golf and the walls adorned with sketches and photos exhibiting Masters and relevant golf pictures. An 11 foot square Cupola exists at the topside of the 30 by 40-foot room. This dome can be reached only by ladder and has windows on all sides.

Eisenhower Cabin is one of the ten cabins on the Augusta National Property, built for Eisenhower after his election as President. An eagle on the top adorns the front porch.

Founders circle is a memorial located at the end of the Magnolia lane and the plaques there honor Clifford Roberts and Bobby Jones. The Hogan Bridge is constructed of stone and named after Ben Hogan for his course record. It has an artificial turf. The Magnolia Lane was the main driveway connecting Washington Road and the club house and 61 magnolia trees appears on either side of the lane. Nelson Bridge is another stone bridge, dedicated to Byron Nelson for his 1937 Masters performance. Record fountain was built to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Masters. Sarazen Bridge is a stone bridge named after Gene Sarazen for his stunning victory in 1935 Masters Tournament of Golf.
